"Loving & Being Loved"

A little girl was playing with toys at the day care center, when the door opened and a big man entered. The little girl jumped up and ran across the room, throwing her arms around his legs.

"Hi, Daddy. You came. Can we go home?" The man smiled and hugged the little girl. "Sure, honey. Let's go home," he replied.

The day care worker had watched the scene and then spoke to the little girl. "Remember the rule," she said. "You must pick up your toys before you can leave."

With sadness in her face, the little girl looked up at her daddy. "Daddy, will you wait for me? Will you wait while I pick up my toys?"

The big man smiled and said, "I'll wait. I didn't come to leave you here. I came to take you home."

For just a moment there, the little girl forgot how loved she is.

Perhaps, for just a moment, you've forgotten how loved you are. Please allow me to remind you.

God came from a perfect heaven to a world that he knew would not remain perfect. He came because of love.

He lived a perfect life, knowing that only a perfect sacrifice could buy us back to Himself from the hold of sin.

He died a horrible death on a cross. Without the shedding of blood, there could be no remission of sin.

He rose again and returned to heaven for us...so that He could intercede for us with God the Father.

He promised that He is building a mansion for us. And, He promised that if He built a mansion, He would come and take us home with Him...to live with Him eternally.

Your Heavenly Father didn't come to leave us here. He is coming to take us Home.

You are loved.
