Shelia Shares....
"Mother's Day"

Gary Gillispie, a reader to this newsletter, wrote the following song, which he graciously is allowing me to share with you. To all you moms, "Happy Mother's Day."

My mother was a Christian, took us kids to church,
Teaching the importance of putting Jesus first;
A living testimony of how God will provide,
Heaven got a little sweeter the day my mama died.

Chorus:

Now it's mother's day, as she makes her way,
Down the streets of Glory to Stand before the throne;
There are songs of praise, there are hands up raised,
As Jesus says, Well done my child,
Welcome home to stay,
Somewhere in Heaven, it's mother's day.

Now if you are a mother, the best gift you could leave,
To your children is a witness that Christ you have received;
Then live a life before them, so they may find the Way,
And when you stand before the Lord, your children too can say.

Chorus:

Now it's mother's day, as she makes her way,
Down the streets of Glory to Stand before the throne;
There are songs of praise, there are hands up raised,
As Jesus says, Well done my child,
Welcome home to stay,
Somewhere in Heaven it's mother's day.
