From the broadcast the weekend of August 19th & 20th, 2017:

Click for Mark LowryOur Featured Artist on this program, Mark Lowry, is often thought of first as a "funnyman."  After all, he was Bill Gaither's comic foil when he was with the Gaither Vocal Band for twenty years.  But Mark is an outstanding singer, too.  And it comes through in his new all-music CD entitled "What's Not To Love?"  In fact, Mark had a hand in writing four of this CD's new songs, including the title song.  As Mark mentioned on the air, he wasn't even sure he was going to do a CD — but so many good songs came he way that he just couldn't resist doing it.  You can find more info about Mark on his website.

Mark Lowry's CD featured on this program, "What's Not To Love?" is available from our mailorder service, Springside.  Just call 1-800-38-MUSIC to order.  You can order easily from our webstore by using this link to go directly to this item

ExodusAs mentioned on the air, our Artist Spotlight guests, Exodus from Gadsden, Alabama, were recently announced as this year's winners in the Singing News Ultimate Talent Contest.  Exodus has been singing as a group since 2012.  Today's members include the three founding members, Mike Watson, Susan Brady and Mary Scott, along with recent addition Cole Watson, who is Mike's 21-year-old son.  You can find more info about Exodus on their website and you can watch an online video of their current radio song, "Behold The Lamb," here. (As you heard, Susan wrote that song with Phil Cross.)

Did you like our segment with three different songs with the same title — "Still" — from the Booth Brothers, Legacy Five and Greater Vision?  It's very interesting to hear three entirely different "takes" on the same theme — reaffirming God's faithfulness and our reliance on Him regardless of what's happening around us in today's society.

On the Headline Update I mentioned Silver Dollar City's big 12-day Southern Gospel Picnic event in Branson, MO, August 24-September 4, 2017.  You can find more info about all that on their website.
