| From the broadcast
the weekend of April 17th & 18th, 2010: |
Our Featured Artists
on this program were the Collinsworth Family with songs from their
current CD entitled "The Answer." Phil and Kim Collingsworth
and their children (Brooklyn, Courtney, Phillip and Olivia)
are truly gifted musically in so many ways. I especially appreciated their
current radio single from this album, "Fear Not Tomorrow." What a
timely message! And, as you heard Kim say, she's held onto that song for
years but it never seemed right until now. God seems to have a time
for certain messages to come out just when needed most. Although it's interesting
to visit with these folks on the radio, you really have to see and hear these
folks in concert for the full effect. They switch off and group in different
ways to provide quite a variety throughout their program. And you will be
thoroughly impressed by their musical versatility.
The Collingsworth Family's CD featured on this program,
"The Answer," is available from our mailorder service, Springside.

Congratulations to our Grand Prize
winner in The Gospel Greats program's 2010 Great Annual
Giveway. As announced on this program, she is Kimberly Newell
of Armstrong, Illinois, who hears our program on WGNN. She
won the 2011 Singing at Sea Cruise from Templeton Tours, plus $1,000 cash.
It's a cruise for two, which comes in pretty handy, since, as you heard
on the air, she's a newlywed. And, yes, as you noticed, she was really
excited to be the big winner! Thanks again to all of you who
participated in our 2010 Great Annual Giveaway. By now you should have
received something about this from us in the mail.
On the Headline Update
you heard about Greater Vision's newest member who was actually
an original member of this group twenty years ago Chris Allman.
This brings back memories. The first time Greater Vision sang anywhere near
our home area when the group first started out was about 50 miles away, singing
at a school. We drove there and interviewed in a classroom, as I recall.
Chris was among them, along with Mark Trammell and, of course, Gerald
Wolfe. There was no doubt, even back then, that this group would do well.
Which it certainly has.
On the Headline Update I reported a special showcase speaker at this
year's National Quartet Convention, Sarah Palin. What I didn't mention
is that this appearance necessitated some minor school changes for the showcases.
