| From the broadcast
the weekend of March 27th & 28th, 2010: |

Aside from our Featured Artist visits, all of the songs on this program dealt
with the theme of "the Cross" what Christ accomplished there,
why He subjected Himself to such excruciating agony and death, and what all
of this means to us today as Christians. (Next week will be our Resurrection
Day celebration!)
Our Featured Artists
on this program were the Talley Trio. Roger and Debra Talley
have been singing with their daughter, Lauren, as the Talley Trio
since the mid-1990s. But Lauren grew up around all this, climbing up on stage
with the Talleys when she was just two and singing, much to the delight
of the audience and the amusement of her parents. Today, Lauren is arguably
the key to the entire sound of this trio, featured on many of their songs.
Songs featured on this program come from their "Songs You Know By Heart"
CD, which is exactly that a collection of favoirte old songs that
most long-time Southern Gospel music lovers (or simply church-goers, for
that matter) will know instantly. "He's Alive" is their current radio
hit, just in time for Easter. They even included their version of a long-time
favorite of mine, "He's A Personal Savior" (although I'd like
to hear it with a bass line).
The Talley Trio's CD featured on this program, "Songs
You Know By Heart," is available from our mailorder service, Springside.
