From the broadcast the weekend of March 13th & 14th, 2010:

I always enjoy our All Listener Favorites editions, and this program was no exception. I love to hear what songs people are enjoying most — and especially the reasons. For many, as you heard, the songs carry a message of comfort or encouragment that they especially need, perhaps due to illness or some other personal difficulty, such as the loss of a loved one. Many of the songs looked forward to heaven and meeting our Savior face-to-face. In fact, those two themes seemed to run through many of the songs chosen. In fact, I'd say those are the two most common themes running through Southern Gospel songs in general. Not bad themes!

Click for Nelons Our Featured Artists on this broadcast were the Nelons. During our 30th anniversary year I keep thinking back on how we've known and worked with many of today's groups throughout that three-decade span. The Nelons are one such group. Although membership (except for Kelly) has changed, the legacy lives on in their songs. I certainly don't intend to minimize their church work of the past several years, but I'm glad to see them on the road once again. And it seems Southern Gospel music fans in general are glad, too.

Click for Springside The Nelons' CD featured on this program, "Beside Still Waters," is available from our mailorder service, Springside. Just call 1-800-38-MUSIC to order. Click for Great Annual Giveaway page This was Week #3 of our 2010 Great Annual Giveaway. Be sure to send off your entry promptly. We recommend using the convenient entry form on our website. But if you prefer to mail in your entry on a postcard, please remember that the mail sometimes travels slowly. By the way, if you missed either or both of the previous two programs, you can still enter for those weeks if you find someone who heard the "key word" for each week and, with minimal arm-twisting, will agree to tell you what they were. The entry deadline for all four weeks (for the monthly prizes) is the same — March 29, 2010 (noon Eastern for online entries).
