From the broadcast the weekend of March 6th & 7th, 2010:

Click for Great Annual Giveaway page I want to be sure you heard about the extra bonus prize for listeners who enter our 2010 Great Annual Giveaway Week #2, which is what this program was. The Singing In The Sun event in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, next month is becoming a major annual event in the field of Southern Gospel music. More information is available at this link. Details of what's being offered as the prize can be found here. The Singing In The Sun special prize is available only to Week #2 entrants, and, to qualify, Week #2 entries must be received by March 15. Note that these entries as well as Week #2 entries submitted after that date but before the final deadline will still qualify for the monthly prizes. One exception: the Singing In The Sun winner will not qualify for the Grand Prize.

Click for the Kingsmen The Kingsmen, our Featured Artists on this program, have been in the forefront of Southern Gospel music for more than fifty years. Their new CD, "Missing People," as featured on this program, is a good example of why. The songs are as "solid" as ever — perhaps even moreso — both in the singing and the messages conveyed. The title song, "Missing People," is quite a reassurance for anyone who has Christian loved ones who have gone on. "God Knows," another song included on this broadcast, is comfort for the Christian going through difficult times. And their new radio single, "God Saw A Cross," celebrates the gift of God — salvation — that all Christians enjoy.

The JonathansOn the Headline Update I mentioned the return to the road of former Kingsmen baritone Parker Jonathan, who now has his own trio, the Jonathans, based in Bremen, Georgia. The group includes Parker, his wife, Paula, and 22-year-old Eric Dunson, who formerly sang with Higher Calling. If you'd like to contact Parker about his group, his e-mail address is jonathansgospelmusic@gmail.com.
