 Well, this was the fourth and final week of
our 2008 Great Annual Giveaway. It's amazing how fast these weeks
fly by each year. And we thank all of you — thousands of you
— who have entered. Please remember that you can still enter for
each of the four weeks right up to the final deadlne,
noon on March 3, 2008. Although you have
already missed the deadline for some of the earlier weekly prizes, your entries
for those weeks still increase your odds for the month-long prizes, including
that grand prize, the Singing At Sea Cruise plus $1,000 cash. Note
that each week's entry must be submitted separately — not together.
If you missed some of the earlier programs and don't have the "Key Word"
that you need to validate your entries, we encourage you to ask around. Maybe
someone you know heard the programs and would be kind enough to tell you
what the Key Words were so that you can enter. The Grand Prize winner will
be announced on the air the weekend of March 29th.
Our Featured Artists on this program were the Crist Family with songs
from their "Livin' With The Light On" CD. Their website gives some
interesting details about this group's background: "Crist Family Ministries
was started in 1987 by Tami Crist with a desire to reach people with the
Gospel message. Joined by her parents, the message became focused toward
family as they shared their personal testimony of how God miraculously healed
their marriage... In 2004 God called the Crist Family into fulltime service.
They sold their homes, quit their secular jobs and left their extended families
to embark on the greatest adventure of their lives. They moved across the
country from Seattle, WA, to Maynardville, TN [near Knoxville], in
obedience to God's call." And God has been blessing ever since as they
travel, sing and minister.
I enjoyed what they had to say on the air about the reaction of people when
they take the stage — that there are so many of them. But it
does give quite a bit of vocal variety and "fullness" to their singing. Today's
group includes Jackie Crist (soprano), John Starkel (baritone),
Breana Crist (alto), Tami Crist Starkel (soprano), Lisa
Crist (alto), Rich Crist, Jr. (tenor) and Tom Joyce (bass).
I believe you'll be hearing much more from this group in the years ahead
