From the program aired the weekend of Dec. 8th & 9th, 2007:

Click for Triumphant Quartet Our month-long celebration of Christmas (the season's music and the message it proclaims) continued on this program with the Triumphant Quartet as our Featured Artists, with songs from their "We Need A Little Christmas." (Of course, I think we need a LOT of Christmas, but that's a discussion for another time.) As you heard, we managed to include six songs from this CD on the program, including new Christmas songs and, of course, a favorite old carol. Christmas music, it seems, can touch hearts in a unique and special way, as David Sutton discussed regarding the song he sings, "Jesus Is Lord." "Mary's Christmas," which Clayton Inman discussed on the program, is interesting, too.

By the way, the Triumphant Quartet was one of just a few groups to appear November 28th at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York City. Click here for a photo of them on stage.

Click for Springside The Triumphant Quartet's Christmas CD featured on this program, "We Need A Little Christmas," is available from our mailorder service, Springside. Just call 1-800-38-MUSIC to order. You can order easily from our webstore by clicking on this link to go directly to this item. (Orders over $40 in the USA qualify for free shipping.)  HURRY!  Christmas is almost upon us!

I enjoyed our brief on-air visit with songwriter Nathan Markee. He and his family stopped by our studio a few weeks ago and we had a chance to visit with this gifted young man who wrote the only song to have remained at the number one position on the Singing News chart for two months, "I Can Pray" as recorded by the Dove Brothers. Amazingly, this was one of the first songs he ever wrote. I'm sure we'll hear more songs from him in the future. You'll hear a little more of our interview with him on Gospel 2007 In Review the weekend after New Year's.
