aired the weekend of Nov. 24th & 25th, 2007: |

This was our official Singing News
Top 20 Countdown Edition for December, featuring the top 20 as they appear
on the chart published in the magazine's December issue. The chart is compiled
from airplay reports from selected Southern Gospel radio stations across
North America.
Our Featured Artists on this program were the McKameys, with songs
from their current CD called "Telling The Story." The McKameys have
been fan favorites since the 1980s, based in large part as they will
tell you because of the strength of their songs. They always seem
to find songs that minister. One such is their current chart song, "You're
Still God." What an outstanding reminder this is about the very basic
fact that God knows what He's doing, He's still God no matter what happens
in our lives, and He can continue to take care of us. Their songs do what
the title of their CD suggests, "Telling The Story" the story
of God's love and the care He lavishes on those who are His.
The McKameys' CD featured on this program, "Telling The Story,"

I hope you heard Michael Booth's story on this program about two ways
in which their current chart song, "Look For Me At Jesus' Feet," had
ties to the late Anthony Burger. And how appropriate they were! By the way,
that song is actually from a CD the Booth Brothers recorded a few years ago.
Recently when it came time to put out a new radio single, they had nothing
recent they wanted to distribute, so they went back and pulled out this Squire
Parsons classic and released it to radio. As you know, it's become quite
a hit because of its wonderfully reassuring message. That Booth Brothers
CD is still
available in our webstore.
It's always
sad to see a long-time quartet disband, but, as you heard on the Headline
Update, the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet has done so. It was brought
on by the departure of one member and Wyatt Wilson's obligations in
his fulltime work at Liberty University. We certainly pray God's best for
each of this talented group's members. I'm sure we haven't heard the last
from them, at least individually.
