This was our annual "Thoughts of Thanks"
edition, with several of today's Southern Gospel artists sharing their thoughts
of thankfulness. In the emphasis on family and faith, you probably were reminded
of good reasons why you should express your thanks this thanksgiving, too.
And those thanks, of course, are directed toward God, "from whom all blessings
flow."
Our "Thoughts of Thanks" edition is always the weekend before Thanksgiving
here in the States. Our friends in Canada had their Thanksgiving a month
ago. But, as I mentioned on the air, thankfulness should be a year-round
thing — for everyone, so it's a timely reminder anytime.
Let me take this opportunity to express my thanks to you, too, for being
a faithful listener to The Gospel Greats program each week.
As I frequently say on the air, "it's only because you're there that we
can be here!" When we count our blessings, you're one of them!
"...Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your
heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ..." (Ephesians 5:18-20.)
